Information security company INCA Internet (CEO Young-Heum Joo, www.inca.co.kr) announced on March 30 that it will release a Linux version of nProtect. The newly released suite comprises of unified PC security solution nProtect Enterprise, secure USB management solution nProtect USM and anti-virus solution nProtect AVS.

 
INCA Internet CEO, Young-Heum Joo, said “we have expanded the Windows-based product to support the Linux environment” and added that “by providing customer convenience by strengthening the multiple platform services we aim to higher customer satisfaction.”

Along with expanding the management server operating system to support Linux for the unified PC secrutiy, anti-virus, and secure USB solution, it also expanded the DB servers which previously only supported MS-SQL to support MySQL and manage a larger volume of data.

Furthermore, on top of the solutions mentioned above, the online ASP based security service will also support various platform adding to the user convenience efforts.

By expanding the operating system support for online PC security service nProtect Netizen and keyboard security service nProtect KeyCrypt to support Linux and Mac OS, INCA’s efforts optimizes security and stability for the customer. The products were successfully applied to the 2009 electronic-government web standardization business proving their performance, and INCA Internet is expecting the market share to increase in the public and financial sectors with the expansion of supported platforms.

The development was intended for maximum security and UI enhancements in the PC side along with the web service and is characterized by the expanded development and application of a driver optimized for the Mac OS and Linux kernels.
